Hybrid Video

Hybrid video, also known as hybrid photography, is a unique combination of high-end digital photography and video that is shot using latest tools and technology with the same continuous light sources. The result is visual story telling that’s creative, impactful, engaging and memorable.

“You can see by the images and video samples on the site that I work in a variety of different shooting environments, many times mixing flash with available light,” stated Smithberger. “ I shoot both on location and in the studio, and since I shoot for publication, color fidelity and image quality are important considerations. Through hybrid imaging tools, I can provide an almost endless variety of digital visual solutions with techniques that allow me to move seamlessly from still shots to video creating one of a kind video content that can be used in any number of marketing or communication applications.”

About the Artist

An Ohio native, Joe Smithberger is an Ohio State University graduate with a B.S. in Engineering. He served for several years as an instructor for Stark State College teaching Photoshop, Lightroom and Photography classes. In his spare time, he performs as a singer and musician with several Northeast Ohio groups including St. Michael the Archangel music ministry and classic rock and blues band The Rock it Men.
